Enter what you paid, what you sold for and the fees on each side. See the profit after costs and the price you needed to sell at to break even.
Units = amount ÷ (1 + buy fee) ÷ buy price
Proceeds = units × sell price × (1 − sell fee)
Net profit = proceeds − amount invested
Break-even sell price = amount ÷ (units × (1 − sell fee))
The break-even price is always a little above your buy price, because you pay fees on both sides. On a spot trade with 0.1% fees that is about 0.2%. On a leveraged futures trade use the futures calculator, which also counts funding.
Questions people ask
How do I calculate crypto profit?
Subtract what you paid, fees included, from what you received after fees on the sale. Divide by what you paid to get the percentage.
Are taxes included?
No. Tax rules differ by country and by how long you hold, so check them where you live.
Why is my profit smaller than the price difference?
Fees on both the purchase and the sale reduce it, and so does any spread between the displayed price and the one you got.
