PROP FIRM REALITY CHECK · READ 9 OCT 2026

FundedNext: rules, terms and fine print

UAE (contracting party), Comoros, Hong Kong. Funds: simulated. Italy: not on the restricted list.

Read this first

Where the money is real, and where it is not

  • The challenge account is simulated. The firm describes the challenge account as simulated, not as trading with the firm's capital.
  • Your fee is real money, and it is spent. The evaluation fee (plus any reset, renewal or activation fee) leaves your bank account. If you fail, it is normally not refunded.
  • A payout is real money, but it is a promise. Profits earned on the simulated account are paid from the firm's own funds, and every firm reserves discretion over payouts and account closure in its terms.
  • Nobody independent verifies payouts. For most firms we found no certified third-party record of what was actually paid. Only the firm's own pages and trackers of unknown method.
The account

What you are buying

Challenge Terms s.1.6: 'All trading activity within the CFDs Challenge occurs exclusively within a simulated environment. No orders are executed in the live market.' s.1.7: simulated profits 'have no monetary value' unless converted into a discretionary Performance Reward.

No. 28831) is the contracting 'Provider'; FundedNext Ltd (Comoros, HY01023052) runs simulated trading infrastructure; FundedNext Limited (Hong Kong) runs the website; payments may run via Incenteco Trading LTD (Cyprus, HE 307114) source

Regulation: Terms s.4.2(a): provider 'is not a broker, financial institution, investment firm... or regulated financial services provider'; services are not regulated activity. No licence named. ToS s.27: governed by laws of the Emirate of Ajman and UAE federal law; disputes to DIAC arbitration (seat Dubai, one arbitrator, English); class-action waiver s.18.9.

The fine print

Rules and clauses that decide outcomes

  • Discretion to terminate / enforce. Provider may restrict, suspend, terminate and apply enforcement 'across all Challenge Accounts' linked to the customer; may act 'without prior notice' (Challenge Terms s.9.1-9.4); other Stellar accounts of linked customers can be hit. source
  • Performance Reward is discretionary. 'Any Performance Reward is discretionary and conditional upon full compliance... not payable unless and until expressly approved and paid' (s.13.4). Provider may withhold, deny, reverse or set-off rewards (s.9.1, 9.9). source
  • Contractual penalty USD 25,000. For each Prohibited Trading Practice breach (per trade, strategy, account, device, etc.) customer 'shall pay' USD 25,000; may be set off against rewards (s.9.8-9.9). source
  • Prohibited strategies list. Latency/feed, arbitrage, HFT, tick scalping and quick strike, grid trading, one-sided betting, cross-account hedging, account sharing, account rolling, third-party copy trading, abnormal change in lot size/frequency, unauthorised VPS/EA. source
  • Open-ended prohibition. 'The list... is not exhaustive. Any behaviour that the Provider determines to be abusive... may be treated as prohibited' (s.8.21); position sizes 'conspicuously inconsistent' with prior pattern may be flagged (s.8.16). source
  • Gambling-style behaviour. Includes all-in positions risking full or near-full daily loss limit, margin usage of 70% or more cumulative, overleveraging. Breaches 'may result in the cancellation of services without refund'. source
  • Loss limits measurement. Daily limit includes realized and unrealized P&L, swap, commission; resets 0:00 server time. Limits are % of initial balance. Max loss static on 1-Step/2-Step/Lite; trailing 6% on Instant. source
  • Min trading days. A trading day needs at least one trade with non-zero P&L (General Rules); Challenge Terms define it as a calendar day with a trade opened/closed. 1-Step 2 days; 2-Step and Lite 5 days. source
  • Profit target basis. Calculated on closed trades only (General Rules). source
  • News trading. Allowed. On funded FundedNext accounts and Stellar Instant, profits within 5 min before/after a listed high-impact event count at 40% (losses 100%). Challenge phases not subject. source
  • Weekend / overnight holding. Allowed on all CFD accounts at all stages; swap charges apply (triple swap Wed for Forex/commodities, Fri for indices/crypto/stock). source
  • EAs and VPS. Allowed only on 5K-25K accounts, each needs its own paid add-on, MT4/MT5 only. Unauthorised VPS/EA use is prohibited. Bots/AI agents not authorised are prohibited (s.8.14). source
  • Copy trading. Allowed only between own Stellar challenge accounts (or own Instant accounts); not if a Funded Account is involved; not via third-party copier services; no friends/family/third parties. source
  • Hedging. Opposite positions on same instrument allowed within a single account; cross-account (even own) and external-broker hedging prohibited; risking full daily loss on one trade may be reviewed as suspected hedging. source
  • VPN / geo circumvention. Use of VPNs, proxies, emulators or device spoofing to bypass geo/KYC controls is prohibited (Challenge Terms s.8.13; ToS s.5.6). source
  • Inactivity. General Rules: 60 consecutive days without a trade deactivates any CFD account. Challenge Terms s.10.7: provider may suspend access if not activated/trading within 30 days of purchase. Two periods on official pages. source
  • Refund. Refund within 7 days of purchase only if no trading activity; none after trading, on failure, breach, failed KYC or termination (s.10.3-10.5; ToS s.7.7). source
  • Chargebacks. Chargeback may lead to suspension, reward withholding/set-off, USD 25 admin fee; reactivation 45-60 business days (ToS s.7.9.2, 7.11.1; Challenge Terms s.11). source
  • KYC / additional compliance. Provider may require KYC at any stage, plus 'training sessions, interviews, behavioural assessments, trading reviews or verification calls' as a condition of funded access or rewards (ToS s.5.7.1). source
  • Final determination. Platform logs are used to decide breaches; provider's determination 'final, subject to applicable law'; review is at its discretion (Challenge Terms s.7.3, 9.6). source
  • Consistency. Challenge Terms s.5.6 applies a consistency requirement only to Express Model 'Consistency' designation; no consistency rule found for Stellar on official pages read. source
  • Programme changes. Provider may change parameters for future purchases; not retroactive unless needed for platform integrity or legal reasons (s.3.4). source
  • Commissions. Stellar 1-Step/2-Step: $5 per side Forex/oil, 0.0016% metals, 0.04% crypto, 0.004% stock; Instant and Lite $7 Forex/oil. source
  • Account sharing allegation (user claim). Forum user alleges termination of passed 25k account under s.11.2/12.3/12.4 for account sharing, 2026-09-20; unverified, no firm reply shown. source
  • Governing law / arbitration. ToS s.27: laws of Ajman and UAE federal law; disputes after 30-day notice go to DIAC arbitration, seat Dubai, one arbitrator, English; provider may still seek court injunctions; s.18.9 individual claims only, no class or collective action. source
  • Reward review and post-payout review. Every reward request passes a Risk Management review; reward may be denied in full if profits from rule-breaking trades exceed the request; reviews may also happen after payment and the account paused (help article 10701585). source
  • Shared withdrawal wallet. A wallet address used by another trader triggers a compliance review: first instance warning, second instance termination/suspension with reward or refund denied or adjusted. source
  • Max risk on funded accounts. /cfds rules tables list "Max Risk 3% at any time" for funded Stellar 1-Step, 2-Step, Lite and Instant accounts. source
  • 15% challenge reward timing. For accounts bought or reset on/after 2026-01-12 the 15% challenge-phase reward is tied to scale-up eligibility; not available to U.S.-based clients. source
