Incidents and regulator actions found

Security incidents

  • No incident found in our limited search.

Regulator and court actions

  • 2023-06-15 Ontario Securities Commission (via IOSCO I-SCAN): Alert listing WEEX as an entity that is not registered or licensed but offers financial products or services; page gives no further detail. Outcome: Warning/alert only; no fine reported. Official or regulator database source
  • 2026-01-19 British Columbia Securities Commission (Canada): Investment caution list entry 'Weex Coin' (website weexscoins.com): company not registered with the BCSC; advises extreme caution. The listed website differs from weex.com, so the link to the audited exchange is unconfirmed. Outcome: Caution notice only. Official or regulator database source
Limits

What we could not verify

Web search budget exhausted: incidents and legal_actions empty = NOT searched, not 'none'. Operating entity, licences, spot fees, PoR auditor/date/ratio, OAM not verified. Italy acceptance not stated. Incident search (hack/suspension) found nothing relevant to WEEX; results were about the unrelated WEX exchange. Search coverage limited to web search.

Facts are as of 9 Oct 2026. We ran a limited number of searches per exchange, so an empty list is not proof that nothing happened. We did not check the Italian OAM register. Items from press or third parties are reports, not findings by an authority. If something here is wrong or out of date, send a correction with a source: corrections policy. Education only, not investment advice.
