The date of each figure is on the issuer page we link; 21Shares is from November 2025 and Fidelity from October 2025. "Not verified" means we could not confirm it from the page we read. Bitwise: sources disagree on the fee (2.00% on a factsheet, 0.20% in a press article), so we show none; check the KID. Size is in US dollars as reported by the issuer.
Cost per year is the fee alone, before price changes and your broker's charges. We did not use tracking error or trading volume because we could not verify them. This is not investment advice and not a recommendation to buy any product.
Questions about Bitcoin ETFs
What is the cheapest Bitcoin ETF?
Among the 13 US-listed spot funds, Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust has the lowest stated fee at 0.14%. In Europe, iShares Bitcoin ETP, WisdomTree Physical Bitcoin and CoinShares Physical Bitcoin charge at 0.15%. Fees shown are the stated annual fee and can change or include waivers; the cheapest is not automatically the best, because size, trading cost and custody also matter.
What is the largest Bitcoin ETF?
Of the funds we could size, iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) is the largest, with about $69 billion in assets on 6 October 2026 according to ETF Database. Other US sizes are approximate figures from March 2026.
What is the difference between a Bitcoin ETF and a Bitcoin ETP?
In everyday speech people say ETF for both. In the US the products are spot ETFs: funds that hold bitcoin. In Europe the equivalent products are mostly ETPs, securities issued by a company and backed by bitcoin held in custody; an ETN is the same idea but a debt note of the issuer. Either way you do not hold the coins or the keys.
How much does a 1% fee cost on $10,000?
About $100 a year, before any price movement. A 0.25% fee is about $25 a year. The most expensive product in our tables, Grayscale Bitcoin Trust at 1.50%, is about $150 a year.
Can I buy these from my country?
It depends on where you live and on your broker. See who can buy which products, by country.
